For others, I have the version of this fridge with a full size single freezer drawer. Has been dead reliable and was the first of the redesigned models after the class action. Makes weird noises. Can confirm it is very slow on ice but we use craft ice molds anyhow. Going on 4+ years so far so good. At this price, no brainer.

Does not have to be military. Qualifiers also include educators (anyone who works for a school, even cafeteria staff, it said), anyone with a .edu email, first responders, medical workers, it looked like even being a Hulu subscriber counted, among other things.
I set up an id.me verified account for my husband, who is the in-school suspension supervisor (not a licensed teacher classification) at a local school, scanned in his school id, was immediately validated and I ordered this fridge. Our rebranded Kenmore LG just died after 15+ years.

What's unclear is how that 3yr extended warranty applies. Gemini seems to think it would give you 4 years total coverage and run concurrently with the 1year ThinQ extra warranty. I didn't scour the fine print.
