there's was at least 2 class actions lawsuits based on how they used known designed to fail compressors.. I probably got $400 back, but easily lost way more on spoiled groceries.

call any appliance repair place and tell them you have a french door fridge that's not cooling correctly
.. they will likely guess LG without you saying anything.. and then tell you they won't / don't repair them because it's not possible.. and it would hurt their business reputation to even attempt to repair something that will just fail again
You would most likely have to cancel and reorder.
At $655 with free delivery and installation, I think it's an incredible value. If someone would rather spend the extra $1,500 and pay $2,000, that's their choice. I'll buy three of these for about the same money as your one.
With a 5-year labor warranty and a 10-year parts warranty, I'm pretty comfortable with my odds. Let's compare notes in 10 years and see who came out ahead. 😄

That's why I added the extended warranty. It includes the 1-year LG warranty, the extra 1-year ThinQ promotion, plus a 3-year Asurion plan. The Smart Inverter Compressor is also covered for years 6–10 (parts only) per the LG spec sheet. Also, for those who don't want to buy an extended warranty, some Visa and Mastercard cards include extended warranty benefits that may provide additional coverage.
