Good glad to hear it's worked out for you thus far, hopefully we all experience the same as well.
Has an internal water dispenser and ice maker according to the specs. Either ways, I'm not planning to hook it up to a water line, so I will be disabling those components altogether.
Found out that if you simply have a HULU account, you can sign up to be a LG partner store member. I signed up using EDU (through id.me) and also created a second account using HULU after the fact.

I was tempted to take the $450 buyout they offered me. I am paying $399 for the labor charge, \ but if I get another 5 years out of this one, I will call it a win. Would I purchase another LG fridge? Probably not, the repair man (who came out to diagnosis the problem) said in his opinion, Whirlpool made the most reliable fridge. I asked about Bosch and he said they don't repair as many because people don't own as many. I would go with Buyer beware and buy/get as much warranty protection as possible.
