Literally just bought this two weeks ago after upgrading my cpu. Old stock cooler couldn't keep up and my temp would skyrocket. This thing really keeps it cool even under load. Just make sure you have enough space. My old case it hit the side panel

I have the non-SE version and it's 2mm taller than this one with its decorative end caps.

P.S. I bought this one next and it's still selling for $26 on Amazon: PCCOOLER CPU Air Cooler, 6 Heatpipes Dual-Tower Cooler with 120mm PWM High-Pressure Fan, Nickel-Plated Copper Base, Support Intel LGA 1700/1851/1200/115X & AMD AM5/AM4, Black(RT620 PRO)

The Phantom Spirit 120 SE is only $32, isn't that a better buy than a Peerless Assassin? The PA would make more sense if it was $7-10 less.

I know everyone else already said this too but .. and granted I'm still rocking an AM4 ryzen 7 , 5700X processor Smilie .. but it's done a great job of keeping my CPU cool.. I bought my own because the tom's hardware people were so impressed with it and also I couldn't find a single negative comment about it online from users when doing my research (aside from the size, seriously measure inside your PC case with a ruler or something to make sure it will fit) ... I ended up having to push one of the fans up on the cooling block a bit to get easier access to the ram sticks (it's rare but sometimes I have to take out then reseat the ram say if the PC is unplugged from the power cord for too long ) but it doesn't seem to have had a negative impact on the CPU cooling far as the CPU's reported temps.

1 or 2 degree lower edge for PA. Lab tests from few years ago.
Keeps my 5800x3d cool like no other.

Why do these have to have names like "Assassin"? Who am I going to be assassinating with this fan? Is it cool to be assassin these days or something? A lot of people seem to be trying but it is not really cool.

You'll be assassinating the heat with a cooler like that.
