Product description doesn't tell you which version you get.

V1 has a recessed MicroUSB charge port, which doesn't fit a lot of cables (and it's microUSB).

V2 has a flush USB-C charge port.

I bought this as an extra controller but ended up using it as my main. I love the controller. I like the way you can set the lights too.

Personally, no. The 8bitdo Ultimate 2C MSRP is $5 more than this and is significantly better. It regularly goes on sale for less than this.

The Ultimate 2C has Hall Effect sticks and triggers, better ergonomics (the PDP's screenshot button is way too close to the left stick, leading to a lot of random screenshots; same with the +/pause button), and comes with a 2.4G dongle, so you can easily use it on PC too.

FWIW, I don't think the 8bitdo Ultimate 2C SWITCH version has hall effect triggers, only the Windows version. But I do agree it is likely worth the extra $.

But since this is a Switch controller (which wouldn't use analog triggers to begin with), the point is likely moot.

P.S. The purple Windows version is $24 at BB

You can control the brightness and even turn it off
