It's slightly easier to fit on the fastener, and it works on 12 point fasteners.

While it's more likely to slip on stuck fasteners, you shouldn't really be breaking stuck fasteners with a ratcheting wrench. That's how they break.

Shewy, do you guys think the ratchet mechamism will last terribly long with the extra torque of the long bar?

Agreed. I wouldn't use this on anything that requires excessive torque to remove or put on. These are more homeowner lite use tools (IMO)

This looks like a nice convenient feature, so I got this and the double jointed one as well.

The hinge is not strong enough to put significant torque especially when working in automotive repairs it broke in my case I don't know if it is cheaply made or it was not designed for automotive

Probably not. If I were going extra long, I'd definitely want a premium brand with a solid warranty. Though I suppose if you had a job where you needed these for access and you were only assembling, these would probably do just fine.
