So you stab the food and release juices to flip it 🤔

One, it looks like a $7 item at most. Two, as someone said, you release the juices. If I want to do that, any grilling fork will probably serve me better. Stick to tongs

$7? Probably $.99 on temu. Probably same quality too.

let me introduce to this cool concept called tongs, it's 2 metal sticks and you can pinch them together to grab the items.. and flip it

This looks like it should be wrapped in a leather roll with other instruments and be held by a villain seeking answers.

The little tiny cuts of meat you guys are cooking will definitely juice out by stabbing it with this little poker. When you're doing huge cuts, it's irrelevant.

This makes it easier to flip larger pieces of meat. Like 5# roasts for searing. At least that's what I use mine for. But I got 2 different sizes for less than this on Amazon

This tool is a must if you collect overpriced, underwhelming, impracticable, and unneeded items with a Traeger name stamped onto it from a Chinese factory.

If you cook large chunks of meat on split 55 gallon drums, you might find a tool like this useful. But of course, if you were cooking on something that large, a 12" handle would be grossly undersized.

Face it, this is a tool for a wannabe backyard pellet BBQ'er, which is precisely the market Traeger exploits! BUY 'EM ALL BOYS!!!

It's something I never knew existed. But now I can see it. I think it's necessary for BBQ.

Not sure it's the best quality, but these pig tail flippers work great. Anything bigger than a 10oz steak/chop gets awkward to handle with tongs, and these work gang busters to flip ribs or large cuts on a smoker.

I prefer my hookers from Charleston myself:

That said, I do own several hookers and have used them for steaks a couple of times, but I prefer tongs and even my long cheap ones work for large pork buts. I'll counter the "stab them and let the juices flow out" crowd to say that you are most likely doing that with thermometers anyway. You aren't loosing anything using this tool.

Lol, calm down and show me on the doll where the barbecue hook hurt you ( I can probably guess.).

Anyway, every BBQ joint has these. I have a different brand in the same size that is excellent - faster and with more pulling power than tongs - for flash grilling skirt steak.
