You can transfer the GC funds to your Costco account's Shop Card balance then save any Visa card for payment -- use the gas pump's QR code scanner to pay with the app and it'll use GC balance first then charge remaining to Visa card

If you are flexible then you can easily find better prices elsewhere. Costco just has certain specific novelties that are unique to them and their very liberal return policy definitely makes shopping there much nicer. Also goes without saying that their gas prices are the best around for premium gas.
But we shouldn't pretend like buying exorbitant amounts of goods unless you're explicitly shopping for a family of 6+ is better than just getting individual goods at same or cheaper prices elsewhere.

Did it 10pm on 7/26 and still got the credit. Since you got the Costco # instantly, transaction = post date.

However, when I click the link which takes me to my account and the offer page, I get an error message in the dialog box.

However on AMEX the transaction posted today:

The AMEX offer has obviously disappeared on the Saved section. I called customer service and they told me to pound sand and won't help. They said I wasn't eligible for the offer since the transaction posted "AFTER" the 26th. I told him it was a digital transaction, done on the 25th, and shared the groupon confirmation email, but they did not help. They said the charge should have posted by the offer deadline and that the charge doesn't post on a weekend and it would have been the next business day i.e July 27th. So looks like this one is a YMMV deal. I have the basic AMEX card, and maybe you have a more premium charge card?
On a different note: How was your transactions $60? I thought the groupon deal was for $65? Thanks.

What does your Savings tab show in your AMEX account? Sometimes the $10 redeemed might show up there first before showing it in your main home page.

Only thing I can think of is you used a wallet/paypal instead of direct payment. Any transaction that completes in its entirety, will post same day. Amex offers can take up to 90 days for credit to post.
I think I did that $5 freebie they were handing out.
