Wannabe technician here: I would expect these to help, but for their impact to be minimal. Any soft surfaces, such as foam+felt will help, particularly for high frequencies.

A diypanel of acoustically transparent fabric over roxul insulation will do much more in general.

If you want to spend money, these products actually do something https://www.rpgacoustic.com/

If you also want to be a wannabe you can pick up a copy of Fahy's Foundationsof Engineering Acoustics and/or Toole's Sound Reproduction.

I don't see anything inherently wrong with the product, but upon quick looking, I wouldn't expect much. I would look at them more as a quick background change, particularly useful for Zoom/Teams, and probably less ghetto than hanging heavy drapes behind you.

More like blended Natural Wood pulp covered with a cheap laminate that tries to look like wood. But you get what you pay for.

Wait for it to go to $35. Costco usually mark these down from 50 -> 40 -> 34.99.

From reviews online mostly I have seen for more office scenarios and seem to work well. Not sure how much for a full movie room setup though. Probably a little bit
