This seems like a great deal. I bought this for my PS5 when it first came out and thought about rebuying it for PC but I remember I had a hard time getting into it because of the difficulty. When you die you have to start all over from the beginning without any of your upgrades. It can be incredibly frustrating and repetitive. I know some people enjoy these types of games. Personally I don't have the time in my life for these types of games and already have a huge backlog. It is a cool looking game though and loved the atmosphere.

I don't personally, but plenty of reports out there that gameplay is just too choppy once the screen starts filling with enemies.

Great game for a great price!

For those who may be wondering, this runs well on PC and can stream to another PC (e.g. Steam Deck) with minimal input lag provided you have a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) or better router, or Gigabit Ethernet connection. It can work on Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) but there will be slightly noticeable input lag.

Runs High Settings, no RT at 4K 90Hz stable with 4070 Super & 7900X using DLSS Balanced.
Also runs High Settings, no RT at 4K 120Hz stable with 7900 XTX & 9950X3D without FSR.

The game can stutter when transitioning through the doors on non-X3D CPUs, but adjusting your graphics settings and/or recompiling the shaders usually resolves that. Aside from that, I did notice a drop in performance in some areas after playing for several hours straight. Restarting the game resolves that issue - fortunately, you can suspend your session before doing so and resume later.

It does look pretty cool, but I can't handle "too hard" games either. One of the first reviews says: "Returnal is moronically hard. Think Halo on Legendary + permadeath + no regen. "

The trick to this game (and other similar games) is to take your time and clear out every single room in a biome. This slow progression will prepare you for the boss fight. Returnal and Saros have been the best PS5 titles to date. Nothing but love for Housemarque.

It was one of my favorite PS5 titles but I have not been able to get past the last couple worlds, let alone beat it for years. Still fun, but wickedly difficult and randomly so

even steam machine can't handle it unless you set it to low. Otherwise frame rates dip to unplayable during projecticles.

BUT you can pair your PS5 controller and take advantage of the fancy trigger stuff.

This is such a fun a game if you're into roguelites. The game play/combat mechanics are so smooth and feel wonderful. The environments are beautiful and stunning. The game can be difficult though. I got stuck on the 3rd biome boss and ended up taking a ~2 year break. I got back into it and after beating that boss the rest of them weren't nearly as hard. I also bought Saros and have almost beat that one too. Props to Housemarque for making these fun games!

This game is hard AF. When you die you completely start over, and you WILL die....a lot. Its a lot of fun but you have to grind a lot to "get gud". I gave up after awhile.
