Yeah, it's more of a soft serve/slushy machine rather than traditional ice cream. Here's a quick look at it in action: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/haoK9kkyqJ0

Thanks. I've been waiting for this. Some stores stock the newer version but none near me (near is 50-100 miles) seem to carry this machine in store. There are several reviews on YT from sources I trust (Joe's Phenomenal and Polar Ice Creamery) on this machine especially using it to make low sugar soft serve which also include appropriate recipes. I've had the Creami for 2 yrs and use it regularly to adapt Keto Chow for ice cream. It works very well, especially for my ultra-low carb ice cream mix. However, I have been interested in one of these --esp from Costco (return policy). I tried the Cuisinart Fast Freeze which wasn't effective enough for me (10X plunges and still never pulled up mix from the bottom).

Has anyone used this and the Ninja Creami? Curious how they compare. The built-in cooling with no pre-freezing sounds really convenient, but does it make ice cream that's as good as the Creami?

This doesn't make Ice Cream, only soft serve.

I was more interested in the ability to make frozen drinks, like margaritas, without needing to add ice. This seems like a good alternative with the benefit it can make ice cream (or at least soft serve).

The only complaint I read was that it was very loud.

Would be interested if anyone has experience.

The ice cream is quite soft ( softer than my wife and I like ) and will take further experimentation with recipes to get it a bit firmer.

Yes, the machine is on the louder side ... but nothing bad. We were playing cards the other night in the breakfast area, with it running in the kitchen. No issue. So, nowhere near as bad the ear piercing Creami, imo.

The only trouble I have had is getting the metal sleeve out for cleaning. It fits super tight in there. We could not get it out by no means. Forget the manufacturers idea of using a spatula or implement. Best trick is to use a pair of cheap plastic gloves to get friction on your finger tips.

Is this better than the new ninja creami? Looking to get a soft serve machine. Was going to get a commercial grade one but I think that would take up too much room for one purpose. Anyone have feedback?

You have any recipes you care to share or websites that we can get them from?

I can't speak to this particular item, but I do have something similar. I have an ice cream maker that has its own compressor and to my wife and I it is way more convenient than something like a Creami. No prefreezing anything. Just toss in your ice cream ingredients, flip a switch and eat about 45 minutes later. We like soft serve, so I am considering this.

We just used this on the 4th. We made frozen margaritas. I want to say it took a few hours to get them frozen and flowing. The consistency was pretty good. It was in the kitchen and it was loud enough to be annoying after hours of it churning on. A friend brought it. Personally I would not buy one. I wouldn't use it enough and it's fairly big. We have a Ninja Cremi which my kids use and like for ice cream and smoothies. If I had to choose one, would go with Ninja.

My wife bought the creami for our kids when we moved into a house with a pool... she thought it would be cool to make ice cream out by the pool. We've used it twice since Christmas.

I'm looking at this or the slushie. I would use either of these a lot more than the creami. It's just too much of a hassle to prefreeze and all that.
