Deal shown $50/$100 at Harris Teeter too (a Kroger company) in my area. Not valid on pickup orders or alcohol; will require a promo code DP50GROC

Will it work on gift cards or alcohol? There's really no way I could spend $100 at Kroger in one trip without that. Sounds like it might be great for a family of 5.

the terms are posted in the comments, please read the threa, while GC's aren't mentioned they typically are excluded but you can do a mock order and try.

Terms say no alcohol. I can't find any gift card at my Kroger's on doordash app. Can you?
What kind of possibilities are we looking at for this to be worthwhile? Kroger doesn't tend to have the friendliest DD pricing given that anything worth buying at their asking price is only good with at least two coupons added or a buy n get n deal that DD doesn't honor/expose for orders. (if they did I'd be getting a lifetime supply of Dr. P with the B3G3)
It does if you include membership details

Don't worry, you are not missing much. The prices on almost everything are already inflated. I have dashpass from t-mobile and with the discount on fees, the actual saving is more like 20-25%. Still not bad, but I did better by using Kroger's own $15 off 75 pickup or delivery offer. After stacking that with their sale prices, promos, coupons and item discounts that are only for pickup or delivery, it was much nicer than this.
Took a glance at Kroger via DD. Prices seem significantly higher than in store. Add in a $15-20 tip and this suddenly becomes a meh deal. What am I missing?
You are missing nothing. This is DoorDash's standard business model. Charge higher prices than store, add a bunch of taxes and fees, and make you pay a large tip.

Not sure what 'taxes' they can charge beyond sales tax which you'd pay shopping in store anyway. Yes on the fees, but Dashpass does have reduced fees. As for a tip, they don't 'make' you pay a large tip, but you are paying for the convenience and your time and the gas the shopper has to spend to deliver your order.
I don't think a $10-15 tip on a $100 pre discount total is unreasonable. some people saying they give 5%. Honestly, would you want to spend 30 minutes shopping someone's $100 order, spend $3-5 on gas to drive to the store, then delivery it to get a f***ing $5 tip? You'd laugh.
These people are just trying to make a living. If they are on welfare or food stamps you'd call them dead beats.
PS, don't forget people are often getting $100 Door Dash GC's for $75 too. There was just a deal like that last week.
Is this the same deal that was anticipated/posted for ALL grocery? Now its kroger only?
no, was never touted as all grocery, the 'all grocery' deal was back in late may or early June. may have been $25 off $50? don't think it was $50 off $100.
Pretty good deal. Got angus beef down to $3/lb for me. Who is tipping 15-20% on a grocery delivery? Insane. Even doordash's suggested tip was 4,5 or 6 percent. My guess is the dasher gets the tip along with other pay from DD itself.
