Community Reviews
This Rosewill 650W semi modular Bronze PSU comes across as a strong budget option for modest gaming and general PC builds. It is described as well reviewed, good value for the money, and a reputable unit at around $35. The wattage and Bronze efficiency are framed as enough headroom for lower end or older hardware, with fit for budget builds, retro PCs, and even an AMD BC 250 setup. The main caution is that higher draw gaming rigs may want more wattage, especially for future GPU upgrades. A practical pick when the load stays in budget territory.

These days, it's common to solder everything on single 12V rail power supplies or OEMs where they plan to use all the connections anyway.
Selling it modular also means they have to stock replacement cables.
HP uses all sorts of OEMs for their PSUs.
I also wouldn't let the chassis color determine quality...

I just meant it's pretty strange. The same OMEN 45L, just Intel vs. AMD has a lot of differences.
Intel version lacks the USB-C port in the front panel! What!??? LOL. They actually don't even put thre header on ther mobo evern though the connection is there, so cannot connect the type-E cable from a newer case. lol Now I have to get an adapter to make it work.
PSU is not modular, no wonder the upgrade to 1200W was super cheap compared to AMD line. The build quality is different, feels thin and not sturdy like the HyperX brand I see in the AMD Omen 45L.
The PC case for it is also not updated, the front mesh is missing, etc. Intel seems to get the shaft and lesser quality Mobo and ports and PSU. Pretty similar but there are some subtle differences. like even the RGB / fan controller is older gen.
I had expected the same Modular PSU and the hard-wire PSU in Intel line does not have. the regular GPU power cable. (Because I ordered it with a 5090 and it only came connected with the 12V-2x6 connector. , no 6/8 old style PIN connector. Now I can't use this with older GPUs. LOL.
front-panel pin out is also proprietary, I can't remember if the AMD was normal since I didn't use mobo as AMD AM5 motherboards are super cheap so I got a new one. Don't feel like spending more money on Intel motherboards.
The color of the PSU, silver is ok but it's a thin stainless steal without the nice power coat (or anodized?) finished. Will look too ugly in my open rig. I'd swap it out but my test-rig requires both 12v-2x6 and the old style 8-pin GPU power so I can't swap it either. I can only swap it with a machine that will only ever have 5070 GPU and up with the new power connectors.
Finding all these problems because I want to get a super nice case instead of the HP tower case for a gift to someone. OMG
Now I feel the proprietary pain finally.
As for the 8x2 GPUs, just get an adapter.

AMD version doesn't have these issues but I also swapped out the motherboard cuz it was dirt cheap (basically free when I got the 7500X3D Combo for $199 while Intel motherboard for Ultra 7 265k alone is $150+!
Non HP motherboard on an HP case. They're getting better but it's not perfect.
Try that with a Dell and you won't get very far.
HP motherboard on Jonsbo Z20. I am ditching the entire HP case. Will re-use the fans and PSU. Cant use the AIO since it's too big so I'll use it on something else gonna get a smaller AIO for the smaller stylish Jonsbo Z20
Build cost piling up but it's a lot of fun to build something for someone.
