People need to look at the use case for each type of sprayer before buying them. Something like this is probably OK for small projects like furniture. Why? As you said the cup is tiny - you're going to be refilling it so many times in larger projects. Also, these types of sprayers work by blowing air past a nozzle that siphons paint from the cup and forces it through a nozzle. The quality of spray pattern you'll get out of that is EXTREMELY dependent on the viscosity of the paint - too thick and it will sputter. Too thin and it will run. Common house paint MUST be diluted for these types of sprayers to work properly.
