It has some flaws--RGB only stops at main colors (RGBCMY) and can't stop in between, USB-C cover as a switch is kinda janky--but I like it, the combo of both rotating head and clip makes it pretty useful. Tempted to pick up another. Goes on sale for this price pretty often.

I feel like they should have flipped the clip though.. It doesn't point towards the ground and just straight ahead.. Lol or the sky

Nevermind, I misunderstood the comment about the clip. I agree you can't rotate the lens to point to the ground.

Just an okay light. It's about as bright as the flash on your cellphone. The rotating head, magnet at the base, dimmer, and the "rgb" options are all fine features. I do like that it can fit in the tiny pocket in my jeans.

I'm just curious, does anyone actually use the rgb for anything?

REALLY handy little light. I use it all the time working on computers, in vents, hanging from drop-ceilings, etc.
I might actually buy a second just to use in rotation since they take so little space.

Two downsides IMO:
- Clip definitely feels like it'll break before much use.
- Slider for USB/lock slides too easily

This light packs super-high utility and value together. I bought one on a whim at checkout and have now purchased about a dozen - I like giving them away and have put one here and there and now EDC.

Solid price, but just know that it's not nearly the discount that the post indicates. I've never seen this sold for $47. Amazon currently lists it at $20, which is around the price I paid for it on a regular day.

2 decades ago I used to have a AAA flashlight on my keychain as EDC.
Then a decade ago, i got a smart phone. i put it in a belt clip case. Was easier to pull that out to use as a flashlight than the AAA on my keychain.

A year after that, ditched the AAA flashlight. (i only used it once a year, if that)

If you have a smartphone, why do you need a separate small edc flashlight?

Couple differences:

1) The G5 has 400 lumens. (Some EDC lights have 1000+.) iPhone lights have about 40 lumens.

2) The G5 has a clip (can be attached to brim of hat) and magnet (can be affixed to metal.) iPhones do not.

3) The G5 has a rotatable head that allows for directional lighting. iPhones do not.

4) The G5 has an RGB secondary light. iPhones do not.

I'm not sure if the clip would be better reversed like you say. But I will comment that the clip can also be used to clip the flashlight onto the brim of a ball cap or visor. So it's at least a bit useful the way that it is.
