I got 2 of them and I hooked them up in parallel. I used a 30 foot 10 AWG cable I got from AliExpress to connect them to my Oupes 2400 Exodus. I just placed them on my back patio, leaning up against my house and was getting about 280 watts at peak from the pair. I am in Chicagoland. Gemini said I might lose 30 watts because of the heat (95 degree days) and I don't have a great way to get the 'perfect' angle. Was hoping for more than 60% but that could be an issue on a few different fronts.
Why not wire the panels in series? The exodus has 13.3a solar input limit so your 280w is not far off from its max generation capacity. Series should get you much closer to the 400w max.

Anyone know a good, inexpensive MPPT controller for these panels?

Good panels but I've had nothing but issues with this seller. One panel arrived with shattered glass and they only wanted to refund me $25. I disputed it, then they agreed to return it, but I have to pay return shipping, which cost as much as the panel. Looks like it's going to be a total loss for one panel on my end. Frown

Can I use this to power my AC unit? I saw in the news about plug and play solar? I
Some solar panels have built-in small inverter to charge small electronic devices like phone/tablet/iPad. Because the phone/iPad is only 5V to charge. Now, you're asking to power the AC UNIT. AC UNIT is using 120V or 240V. There are no way solar panel alone could do that. You must need INVERTER to convert into 120V or 240V.

You really need to double the setup. My 200x2 setup in Florida at best get me 340W, but most of the time it's 220W. Keep that in mind, and the whole PV / Amp needed to trigger some of these charge controller. Takes about 6 good days to charge my 3KWh battery. Going to take me 9 years to recover cost on setup 😂😂. But my master bedroom window AC can run two whole nights if hurricane do hit.

I believe the specs for these panels can be found here:
https://aeternasol.net/products/2...2140267685

Aliexpress doesn't always have the specs handy.

Ecoworthy has a better reputation for service and support. These AeternaSol related store fronts just popped up this year. I wouldn't count on any support after the purchase

I'm sick of AliExpress. The discount codes never work for me and even I manage to checkout, I always get a message that the deal expired and the price went up. Done wasting time with these clowns

If the codes don't work, try one of these: $10 off on 1 panel: VSUSDEAL10 or JJY10Q or SBUS10

Or

$15 off on 2-panels: JJY15Q

Not sure yet, Waiting on the next panels to show up so I can do a 4s2p

Do you run 96V? I think it says these panels are 24v each if someone is running 48v

48 is what i was planning on doing, any advantage to going 96? Most people have suggested 48 to me, but I'm open to upping voltage if it's beneficial. more volts = less copper needed to wire it all up.. but anything over 48vdc is getting to the point where things can get ouchy and grabby.

There absolutely are ways to tie DC voltage straight to an air conditioner. The unit converts ac to DC on board anyways. I've seen quite a few people build solar directly into an AC unit. Plenty of examples on ebay.
