I have a lot of hope for this. It looks like it has potential to be a well-done product and going back to the style of Symphony of the Night-style sidescroller metroidvanias.

But I also have little to no faith in Konami or most other AAA publishers, and refuse to preorder a game that I haven't even played yet. After years of stumbled game launches like Anthem, I'll wait to see the final product before I purchase. It'll likely be half the price or lower by the time I'm ready to play it anyway

I've got high hopes for this one. One of the few games I've ever preordered.
If you're into these type of games I recommend Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
it's the spiritual successor to SOTN, made by the same guy who produced SOTN

Art style looks worse than 30 year old SoTN. Movement of the character looks all weird and too. Iga also not involved. Looks like some indie fan project.

this seems to be the biggest disappointment with this otherwise great looking game. the graphics and animation looks more like a mobile game. i'm guessing it's cheaper to animate with 3d/cell shaded graphics than sprites.

Haha - nice! The quote brings back a lot of memories. Still love the soundtrack.

Great Username, btw! Another great game with a very unique soundtrack. I'd usually either play as Brad or Browny. Big Grin

Just for context though, the developer Motion Twin has 7 devs listed on their website. They're a small team but make really great stuff. Keep your mind open with this one, the Castlevania DLC they made for Dead Cells was great.

It basically IS a Fan Project, which is awesome, since these particular fans LOVE the source material and have experience around the genre. ;P
