wait so are they wifi or just bluetooth?edit: oop looks like wifi. i'm impressed that they finally managed to get those parts small enough to fit in the screw base!
Wi-Fi equipped Smart bulbs have existed for several years now... The range on them isn't the best though for how compact everything inside the bulb has to be.
This is the best price I have seen on smart Edison bulbs and this brand has impressed me with just how quick they are to respond. Definitely a massive step up from all of the garage Cync by GE bulbs I've had for years. We just moved into a brand new house and this brand has been having deals posted constantly at the perfect time for me to phase out all of the GE stuff

..what? lol uh yeah, obviously wifi smartbulbs have existed for a while now; i was talking SPECIFICALLY about everything actually fitting inside the screw base (so it looks like a regular non-smart bulb). the vast majority if not all current ones i've seen all use very roughly half the typical bulb shape/area/space as a passive heatsink and (presumably) to fit the wifi hardware.

I think that's why Edison smart bulbs, specifically, have been so much more expensive in the past too. The regular Linkind smart bulbs look more like what you are referring to but these Edison bulbs look great and keep the same aesthetic. I've been super impressed with this brand so far.
My only gripe across any of the smart bulbs I've tested by this brand compared to others is that if you change the color, temperature of the light, or brightness, it can vary wildly how those three factors interact. For instance, if I put three smart bulbs in our bedside lamps to an evening orange and turn the brightness to 1%, the bulbs are still way too bright. However, if I shift the bulbs toward a red hue, they get drastically more dim (as 1% should be). I've had plenty of smart bulbs, lamps, and light strips and this is the only one that somehow struggles to allow the color, temp, and brightness to be consistent.
At the end of the day, it isn't a deal breaker for me because they are proving to be very reliable. We aren't really the people to use bulbs at different colors outside of the standard temperature graded "white" and only ever up to 5K daylight. It is just worth mentioning that these bulbs do have some issues but I'm hoping there will be updates pushed at some point to address this
