Typical Costco treasure hunt item. People will buy this thing just because it's a supposed good price and then after they realize it's just too big and unwieldy, they will want to get rid of it or will put it on a shelf in the garage. It's not going to fit easily into a drawer and it's huge sitting on a counter. I'm sure there are some people who have a real need for this thing but I bet a lot of the people buying it end up not using it.

These are super bright! Like almost too bright haha. Battery life at the highest setting is poor, like 30-45 minutes in my experience. But its much better at the dimmer settings.

Sign showed $26.97, but the 7000L rung up as $10.00 at my location. There were less than a half dozen left. The Costco website shows it as out of stock at the warehouse, so I could not verify the price before checking out.

The 10,000L was $37.99.

La habra store has around 10 left. Went to another store which showed in stock but 0 in store. Really impressive for the money. I'm glad I picked it up ready for my camping trip in a few days

If you're interested, the perimeter Costco location in Sandy Springs, Georgia has plenty of these because they're incorrectly showing the $27 price in-store instead of the $17 price it actually rings up at. Might get corrected soon

The AA batteries included are standard alkaline that fit in a sleeve that goes in the flashlight cylinder. You can also swap to the rechargeable battery pack that it comes with and fits in the same part of the flashlight, which then can be charged via usb-c connection to the flashlight. I'm unsure what type of battery(ies) is(are) included in the rechargeable pack.
