Google says elite exp and pro exp expansions are interchangeable. Not sure if it is true.
I actually prefer the squared off end, because easier to put on my knees on a bench, and easier to slide around on the floor, because of the flat side on the bottom.
But bottom line, get whatever is cheaper. These are a great deal.
But a tip, these are discontinued, so get at least the Stage 1 and Stage 2 kit, because at some point you won't be able to get the expansion kits. You will outgrown Stage 1.
I can't lift all that much, but I quickly moved up from Stage 1 to Stage 2. So at least get Stage 2 upgrade, and possibly Stage 3 if budget allows. Also, resale value will be greater down the road if you have the expansion kits.
Yes, these PowerBlocks are old-school. But they are built like a tank, will last the rest of your life, and you can pass them down to your kids after you have worked out with them for decades.
