From the factory, the Neutral and Ground are bonded together. This is ideal for camping, or sending a bunch of extension cords out to power different things.
BUT if you are using this as a 'whole house' generator, you need to Unbond the unit. Your house panel is already bonded, and you don't want 2 bonding points.
Under the black circular generator cover behind the muffler, you will find a short yellow wire going from the generator frame to the white Neutral wire. Remove this short jumper, and ziptie it somewhere to the frame so you can reattach it should you go camping.
Not sure why this info is not in the manual, but stay safe my friends.
