Earliest amazon price for this color was $70 in May 2026. On the release of the black variety in January 2025, the amazon price was $130. Considering the price is now under $20, I suspect these are actually low quality (in the whole spectrum of earbuds). I don't have any experience with this brand. My comments is mostly based on how much the price has changed in 1 year.

I heard of Monster earbuds for a while. I was eager to try them. I ordered a pair with discount from Amazon during Prime day. They are just average in my opinion. Not sure about the hype if they charge a fortune.

I did some researches here are the outputs from that "gpt tool"
What did happen is:
  • Monster licensed its name for various product categories.
  • It entered partnerships with companies that designed or manufactured products.
  • Some product lines were discontinued while new ones were introduced.
Why people think quality declined

Several factors contributed to that perception:
  1. Beats partnership ended
    • Monster originally manufactured the first Beats headphones.
    • When Beats and Monster split in 2012, Beats continued independently and later became part of Apple.
    • Many people associated Monster with the higher-end headphone market, so losing Beats hurt Monster's reputation.
  2. More licensing
    • Monster increasingly licensed its brand across many consumer electronics categories.
    • Products began appearing at retailers with varying levels of quality.
  3. OEM manufacturing
    • Like nearly every consumer electronics brand (Sony, JBL, Belkin, Anker, etc.), Monster does not own factories for most products.
    • Many Monster products are manufactured by third-party OEM/ODM factories in Asia.
