I have this grill from Costco for $1200. The Costco one has a fifth burner for searing. Weber makes a great grill. It will last 15 years. This is a great price.

Is the sear zone effective or just a gimmick? We do a lot of steaks so that would be great if it works as intended.

Too bad they didn't make them like they used to. Even the covers are cheaper made thinner. Just replaced my Weber from 1997. I know this new one won't last that long.

I have the Genesis II S-435 that I was able to get from costco for $700 couple of years back. This new ones are extremly filmsy compared to the one I have. They aren't making it as they used to.

It's fantastic for searing steaks so long as you do everything right (preheat, dry off the meat)
