EGO Power+ 15 inch cordless string trimmer kit stands out for strong weed cutting, gas like power, and a quieter run than a two stroke trimmer. The auto fill self winding head gets praise, and the included 2.5Ah battery helps explain the kit value since the battery alone runs about $109 to $135 elsewhere. Runtime can reach about 45 minutes on low, but the line burns fast and the battery may not hold full capacity for more than a few years. A solid stand alone trimmer for regular yard work.
The tool can handle thick weeds effectively while working as a frequently used yard tool.
The trimmer's auto-fill self-winding feature can make line management easier during trimming sessions.
The dedicated trimmer setup can deliver strong power feel while sounding less like a 2-stroke engine.
The included 2.5Ah battery can add value because it is reportedly priced around $109-$135 elsewhere.
The deal price can change, with some shoppers reporting the kit back up around $179-$180 instead of $153.
The line can burn through quickly, requiring refills after about every other lawn care day.
The multi-head system can feel heavier and unbalanced compared with a dedicated trimmer, which can reduce comfort.
The multi-head design can introduce extra friction and drag through a gearbox and shaft, which can reduce efficiency.
