This PS Store sale is strongest for a few standout RPG and action picks, especially Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess at $14.99, Palworld at $21, and the Resident Evil remake bundle at $27. The Resident Evil trilogy stands out for packing RE2 Deluxe, RE3 with DLC, and RE4 Gold for only a dollar more than buying the games separately. The main caution is that many of these discounts recur often, and deluxe or gold editions can be worth comparing closely because the extra content is sometimes just cosmetic. Digital purchases also carry the usual Sony license risk, so the bundle value matters most if you are comfortable with that format.
Players wanting the Resident Evil remake trilogy, because the bundle includes Deluxe and Gold editions for only $1 more than buying the games separately.
Collectors hunting a physical copy of Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess, because the disc version sells above street price and the sale price is an instant buy.
The deluxe and gold editions usually go on sale after the regular editions, and they often include extra DLC. For Resident Evil 2, the standard remake was $7.99 while the deluxe edition previously dropped to about $12, so it can be worth waiting if the bonus content matters.
Many of the listed prices are not deep discounts, and some deals appear to repeat throughout the year. Octopath Traveler at $19.99 was called steep for a 2017 game, while Resident Evil remakes and similar titles keep returning to sale.
The trilogy bundle is $27 and includes RE2 Deluxe, RE3 with DLC costumes, and RE4 Gold Edition. It is only $1 more than buying the games separately on sale, while also upgrading them to the deluxe/gold versions.
Palworld's 1.0 release makes it a good time to try, and the $21 sale price was described as worth it. The game is also being enjoyed so far, which supports it as a solid pickup at that price.
Digital PlayStation purchases can function more like a revocable license than permanent ownership, since access can be pulled if Sony changes terms or service availability. That makes physical media the safer choice for long-term ownership.
Have been waiting for Palworld to go on sale! With the 1.0 release, seems like a great time to give this a shot. Really enjoying it so far, seems well worth the $21.
NO DISK NO BUY! Boycott Sony's decision to eliminate physical discs!
100% Discs have so much value, imo! They make nice decorations, they have a used resale value and a trade value with someone who wants it! DO NOT LET THE DISCS DIE OUT!

Resident Evil remake Trilogy is $27. You get RE 2 Deluxe edition, RE3 with the dlc (costumes), and RE 4 Gold edition with mercenaries. Only $1 more than buying them all separately here on sale and you get the Deluxe/Gold editions. Lowest price for RE4 Gold edition by itself has been $15.
Yeah... just remember in spite of labeling it that you're "buying/ purchasing" these things, according to Sony now it's more of a digital rental that they can pull the plug on any time they feel like.
I never though I'd say this, but I'm going back to buying physical media.
Ive been digital only since I got my first PS4 in 2014. Never had an issue with rights. I own over 200+ games (ps4 and ps5) never had an issue and dont play online so I dont fear my account will ever get banned. I dont think I would be satisfied having 200 disc case around my place and deciding what I want to play. I can simply click and play. Or if I feel nostalgic, I just download it. I have 3TB on my PS5 Pro and only have about 2TB used up because I delete games i beat and move on.
Only thing Sony will never get from me is to pay for PS Plus. I havent payed for it since my final $22 eneba code subscription ended in 2023. It will do little impact for people who dont want to go digital and stop buying from PS store. It wont stop anything. I know others who dont pay for PS plus and just play F2P multiplayers and own PS5 pros for that. Sony hasnt dropped PS plus prices and they havent offered codes for it again. When they set their minds to it. They will not change

That way I move the game on if it's trash. Not giving that up, so either they create a resale market function or they can go to hell.
