I was grabbing links for Morakniv recommendations in another post and ended up seeing the Clipper 840 for $16.02 with a 30% ($4.81) coupon on the page. The Companion mostly replaced the Clipper line back in 2011; the Companion is a better knife in a lot of small ways (longer if thinner tang, more ergonomic handle, better sheath) and all things being equal is the better purchase...but the Clipper 840 is a great knife that has been around a long time and for $5 less than the Companion is worth buying if you have a knife problem like I do.

Not sure if you actually bought one or just commented for the pun, but I reached out to Morakniv and apparently the Clipper series was completely discontinued in 2011, so we're either getting 15yo stock or...a Companion?
