It is very generic fan type. Prob same factory as the other slick deals. I did install one similar (not same brand) and so far it seems good. Though you might want to reach out to the seller to see if it is ETL/UL certified.

One of my dislikes of DC fans is that they can only be controlled by the remote. The switch turns the power on but lights won't come on and the fan won't spin without using the remote. Plus they don't have a pull cord, I don't want to be fully dependent on the remote. Mainly because I know I'll end up losing it.

I have 5 different fans with DC motors, the fan turns on with the wall switch on all of them once you leave the fan on and at the speed you want.
