yes, i verified, signed in to my new account, and it is the BASIC level account, not pro.

Well, it would seem to be that you need to wait for verification as it's not instant. Once I received a confirmation email from Anthropic I can confirm my account was upgraded to the Pro level- I have access to Claude Code.

As an educator doublecheck with your schools IT person. States may have specific agreements such as with LLM and Gemini because of the issue of personal information. School departments may limit the different programs.

May work generally, but be aware of sharing, personalized information of student staff, etc.
