Community Reviews

Garmin's Fenix 7 Pro Solar stands out as a rugged, long battery life smartwatch for hiking, workouts, and health tracking. Battery life is repeatedly praised, especially with GPS off, and the bezel design helps shield the screen from impacts. Sapphire glass gets the strongest durability praise, while the non sapphire crystal is described as easier to scratch. The listing is also noted as no returns accepted, so the deal feels best for shoppers comfortable with the fit and the purchase terms.

Common Questions (4)

  • The non-sapphire crystal can scratch easily, while the sapphire version is reported to stay flawless under rough use. A tempered-glass protector is also an option and can add low-cost extra protection.

    Munkynutsspartyman66partyman66sdwindansea

  • The listing is described as fulfilled by Garmin and covered by the manufacturer warranty. The main caveat is that ExpertVoice access is restricted and returns may be limited, so the conditions should be checked before buying.

    danger07nitragoriskyflasholic1234

  • Wi‑Fi is not required for normal syncing, and the watch can still be used for GPS activities without it. The practical setup is to pair it with a phone over Bluetooth for syncing and map-related features.

    partyman66Adept2k

  • The 7 Pro is described as large but manageable, while the 7X is considered too big for some wrists. The 7S fits smaller wrists better, but its screen is harder to read and control.

IMO this shouldn't be a front page deal. I'm an ExpertVoice member. The average person will not be able to register though. Requirements are strict and you have to prove with a paystub, there are no "invites".

That being said, I bought the watch 2 months ago on a similar sale. Yes it's legit. There have been some cons (notifications) versus having an Apple watch but the battery and health tracking is superior and the reason I don't miss my Apple watch.

I've not had that problem. I had a Garmin Forerunner 955 before this watch and I only ever broke 1 screenprotector on that by banging my wrist into a doorknob while swinging my arm as I walked by it. Screen was fun, but the protector shattered.

I've yet to break any protectors on my Fenix 7x Pro Sapphire. It's actually pretty tough to break them on this watch because the bezel extends out and protects the screen from most impacts, so the protector nestles into that dip and still sits slightly below the titanium bezel.
Thats funny, my screen protector survived 2 14'ers, Mt Whitney, Cactus to Clouds, slot canyons, backpacking and finally broke due to a doorknob.

Yeah, got a pack of the best reviewed ones of those on amazon. They didn't last kissin' time. Brittle, cheap, and flimsy. One even cracked when my wife grabbed something out of the oven.Go sapphire or go home for me.
Impossible to register to get this price.

Anyone with experience with expert voice?
Yes, from my orders it's always fulfilled by the actual brand. EV is just a discount aggregator or whatever they call themselves. No issues on orders but deal discounts are usually inflated as it's based on MSRP and most items don't normally sell for MSRP elsewhere. Also returns are sometimes limited. Be sure to read the conditions.

I'm a member, and the product comes up with the provided link, but there's no option to add it to the cart via browser or the app. Seems to be dead. I can find it via search for $639.99 (20% off)

I've broken many of the tempered glass screen protectors on my Garmin watch. I know only use the flexible film type and those last forever.

I would never buy one of these without a sapphire crystal. My wife didn't think she'd need it on hers and hers is scratched like crazy, the proprietary non-sapphire glass this use is very prone to scratches. Mine is sapphire and the screen is flawless. And while she takes care of her watch, I do not baby mine at all.

Fwiw.
I've had the 7S pro solar (non-sapphire). I've only had it 4 months, but I wear it constantly and I don't have a single scratch on it yet. I do hike a bit but I'm not a rock scrambler or climber, but I have bumped it against a few things and I can't see any damage yet.

I honestly think this is a awesome deal. I'm going to try and get onto ExpertVoice and if I can, get this and give my 7S Pro to my wife.

These things are so massive that they look cartoonish.
I think the 7 Pro is large but ok, but the 7X is kind of ridiculous. I'm a 6'1 male with pretty average wrists and the 7S is fine for me, although the screen is harder to control and read.

Still wearing a Fenix 5 with sapphire that looks brand new..through years of hiking and banging it on rocks..no scratches..will upgrade to newer model when I can get sapphire again for around $350.
