I cannot speak to the value of this as a deal, but I would be concerned about using my knives on a steel surface - wouldn't it dull them pretty quickly?

I learned this the hard way. Don't use stainless steel or titanium cutting boards if you care at all about your knives! Wood is best (but kind of a pain to maintain) or quality thick plastic boards aren't bad either.

Definitely pass bought during prime day. Found how quickly it scratches plus anyone is welcome to look up how quickly it will dull knives and metal shavings in your food.

Ha, I once went to a friend's house where they used a nice looking glass cutting board. Their kitchen knife can't cut a cucumber straight.

Choosing the best cutting board isn't as simple as it seems.

Glass: Non-porous and easy to sanitize, but it dulls knives the fastest.
Plastic: Can develop deep knife marks over time that trap residue and may release tiny plastic particles as it wears.
Wood: Naturally porous, but when cleaned and dried properly, quality hardwood boards are durable and can be just as hygienic as plastic.
So which material offers the best balance of hygiene, durability, and knife protection?
