Just my 2 cents about this controller. I just purchased this after my xbox controller button went out on me. Went to look at the current rates for a new one and my jaw dropped. Too lazy to try to try and repair so saw the raving SD comments about this controller. Response time is great. However, i don't like the feel of it as it sits on my hand. Maybe I'm used to the xbox controllers. But i have large hands and it keeps like i'm holding onto it with my fingers instead of my palm (if that makes any sense).

None the less, good price point for what you get.

You point out the biggest complaint about the 8-bit line of controllers. I bought the ultimate anyway and didn't notice it. That said i did get a cyclone 2 and have no issues switching between the 2. I game with controller infrequently and had an offbrand 360 controller before. (Also large hands, 2xl size for gloves)

I only mention this to keep consumers informed.

The grip is closer to the Nintendo pro controller gen 1, which is my favorite controller so I love my 8bitdo controllers. I do understand that the grips are fat, but they rest in my palms fine. Wish all their controllers had the fancy back buttons and connectors for the bad ass dock. The dock is almost worth it alone to jump up to the ultimate. Only pc controllers I haven't had to fight with

Yeah, it's a common complaint that the grips should be angled out a bit more. Otherwise they're about the best quality vs price out there for controllers.

I have three of these for myself and my kids, and they are fantastic. I also have large hands (6'4") but have no issues with discomfort.

IMO the main thing to be aware of is that the 2.4G connection is incredibly responsive, but there is a slight lag when connected via bluetooth (e.g. probably how you'll connect to Android devices). It's perfectly fine for the RPGs and strategy games I prefer, but if you want to play things that require instant responses, you might have some trouble using bluetooth. This is not totally the fault of the controller, though. Bluetooth has notoriously high latency, and only within the past few months have a few companies come out with Bluetooth ULL (ultra low latency) devices.

I don't think so (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong 😅). I believe you're looking for the Ultimate 2C -Bluetooth- . I've got an ultimate 2c Bluetooth for switch and the linked 8bitdo 2.4ghz for PC and love them both.

Because it's a Bluetooth deficiency, I think. I think. They may have limited support to use the dongle on android now. May need software...? I'm too lazy to research deeper for SD... I used to go on a wild research hunt for SD comments only to not post
