I've had this exact model for nearly a decade, so it seems to be durable. Attractive, and the inside cleans easily with CLR cleaner. Hard to do better for the price, but IMO it's worth spending a few extra bucks to get a model with a temperature readout and "hold at temperature" feature.

Crazy that some are using CLR to clean these as CLR cleaners can contain Lactic, Methanesulfonic acids.

All you need to do is add enough distilled white vinegar to cover the bottom, boil, then rinse.

Citric acid is better. It protects against rust corrosion and doesnt smell.

We had one of these for over a decade and it finally died. Bought a new one on sale and they are NOT the same. Top leaks and the switch doesn't auto shut off. The top leaked boiling water into my bare feet twice and I took it back for a refund.
