Which obviously I wanted to keep this phone for putting in that effort. Unlike other people who would assume this doesn't work and hence was "renewed". As for usage, the thumb unlock two weeks later seems to take a long time to actually go from an off screen to powering on. Versus the tracfone locked 2024 moto g power deal (walmart might still have for 49.88+tx) that's been here being way more responsive on that and 8g ram on that one holding some advantages. only pet peeve is this Samsung more strongly autocorrects if it doesn't like your uncommon word/name changes. Samsung's advantage also has an android 16 upgrade among those flurry of updates.
The other method used to be activating the new phone on a separate line, and then asking Customer Service to merge/combine the 2 lines. No real advantage to that, other than possibly scoring some referral bonus points. For the last year or so, the merge/combine method has become almost impossible, with most agents saying it cannot be done. Twice over the last year, I've seen reports of a user finding an agent that could, and would, do it.
