This renewed Greenworks 80V self propelled mower is valued for strong cutting performance, easy handling, and the convenience of running without gas. It can mulch leaves well, handle taller grass better than some comparable battery mowers, and the included batteries and charger make the bundle more useful than the mower alone. Runtime is limited for larger yards, especially with self propelled engaged, and wet, very tall, or hot conditions can push it hard. The 90 day warranty, inconsistent battery quality, and reports of rough packaging are the main concerns, making it a practical pick if the battery setup fits your yard.

  • The mower can handle summer grasses without reaching the full advertised 4-inch cut height.

  • The mower can mulch large leaf volumes into the catcher and then into yard bags more easily than raking.

  • The mower can work well with turbo mode and self-propelled drive after arriving essentially new.

  • The mower can cut taller grass without bogging down when switching from a smaller battery to a larger one.

  • Renewed shipments can arrive with problematic battery condition or packaging, including sticky residue or loose batteries in the box.

  • The smart switch can have trouble switching when two batteries are installed, which can leave the mower stuck.

  • The 90-day warranty can be a major downside compared with longer warranty options on similar sets.

  • The mower's suction and collection performance can be poor compared with a gas mower and it may not work well for fall cleanup.

I've been using the non self propelled version of this for at least 8 years now. I've added other 80v tools and haven't had an issue. Maybe the 40v line is built worse but everything I've bought 80v has been flawless.
My old old 40v never had an issue. Consumer reports ranks Greenworks higher than Ego in reliability.

Do you have an stl by chance?

Sure do. Here you go. Printed in PETG and its worked well. Works with both Kobolt and Greenworks tools after this case.

I just got mine and it had probably the worst kind of padding that I've ever seen in a box. Both of my batteries were literally just placed loosely on the bottom of the box covered with the thinnest bubble padding. So pretty much they were flying in that box during transport. Something sounds very loose inside the 4ah battery.

I bought this within the year at $299, was blown away it was basically new with a branded rebuilt mark in the plastic. It came with the bagger, two newer batteries, and charger. was shipped quickly and works great, it has a turbo mode, self propelled, very nice. sold out quick btw

There's zero logical reason anyone would pick the Greenworks deal over this deal. For $170 more you're a much better mower, that's brand new, comes with a bigger battery and a far longer warranty.

If the Greenworks for brand new at that price the comparison would make sense, but not at all when you're comparing used to brand new.

Anyone considering this 60v 22inch Greenworks unit for $400 from Tractor Supply instead?

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc...er-2491401

This one comes with an 8ah 60v battery, dual blade (RazorCut), and a 4 year mower and battery warranty.

This was my experience today as well. Absolutely terrible packaging. Also, the charger is very used looking, and one of the batteries has a sticky residue all over it. The mower itself has some scratches and scuffs, but not terrible at least.

One of my batteries also has that sticky nonsense on it. I'm still thinking about whether I should contact their support and see if I can get the 4aH battery replaced.

I bought this refurbished mower as well, as my craftsman V60 7.5 Ah battery died couple of weeks back. Shipping box was a bit beaten up, but internal packaging was decent with molded foam padding conforming to the mower shape. Mower blade had nicks, contacted support, they asked for pictures of the blade, and accepted warranty claim and sent me a new blade without any additional charges. Mowed with original blade before the new blade arrived, started with 2 Ah battery, it drained and then used the 4 Ah battery and completed the entire yard. Pretty much similar cut quality as the craftsman, but this did not bog down at the taller grass, so did better than craftsman. I do not bag at all, used mulching, so a bit of clumping as the grass was wet in some places due to recent rain. Discharge chute was not included in this deal. But the craftsman chute fits on this mower, so I will use that from next time onwards. I also bought the 80v chainsaw deal with 4.0 Ah battery from bestbuy, posted elsewhere in SD, for a 3rd battery as reserve for the mower. It came today, but the battery with that is longer and heavier (2.75 kg vs 2.00 kg), but it fits in the mower and mower recognizes it.

Does it has manufacturer warranty on battery and parts?
