This set always sold for around $100 bucks.
Now for clarification... this is a very decent knife set and not "entry-level" as some people claim.
Zwilling / Henckels sells 3 grades of knives.
Top Tier: ZWILLING (means "Twins" in German) Exclusively made in Germany...top German steel.
Mid Tier: Henckels International (Made in Spain) Still very nice choice...decent blade quality for the price.
Bottom Tier: Henckels International(Made in China) Bottom of the barrel...low grade steel... stay away!
Lastly...someone asked about a decent knife sharpener...here you go:
Chef's Choice Professional (older model) for $21 bucks (the newer model cost $60)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008EMFQ8C
With 15 & 20 degree sharpening option...Nice.
Hope that helps...
Cheers!

I have some old Henckels from before they split into different lines (the really good ones), some newer Zwilling knives, a Miyabi, and some of the newer entry level Henckels.
The entry level Henckels hold an edge relatively well, sharpen up nicely when they need it, and are pretty well balanced knives. They aren't the first knives I reach for, but I'm also not mad when I use them. They're not quite as comfortable to hold, and they do need to be sharpened a little more often, but $35 for 3 knives instead of $150+ (and more than double that for a Miyabi) for a single knife is way more approachable and a great option for average home cooks.

Serrated knives are best sharpened with a tapered ceramic rod or a dedicated serrated knife sharpener — you sharpen each individual serration separately.
Draw the rod through each serration at the angle that matches the bevel (typically 13–20°).
Lightly deburr the flat side of the blade with a few passes on a flat whetstone or honing rod.
Because serrated edges hold their edge longer, they don't need frequent sharpening — once or twice a year is usually sufficient.
Note: Standard pull-through sharpeners are not recommended for serrated blades as they can damage the serrations.
I'm not good at sharpening, but I get buy, and all my knifes are super sharp.
I would like to offer clarification with the different levels of Henckels knives…
Zwilling J.A. Henckels is the parent company of the Henckels brand (also known as J.A. Henckels or Henckels International) as well as the Zwilling brand. Within each brand, you'll find a multitude of different series to explore and of quality.
They are a well-known worldwide company and don't make knives in one factory with a single approach. They craft knives in Germany, Japan, China, Thailand, India, and Spain each with distinct characteristics, steel types, and construction methods. Some are fully forged, others feature modern flared demi-bolsters, and some are stamped blades. The company will backup both the Henckels and Zwilling brands regardless of where it's made.
Zwilling is the premium tier, primarily made in Germany and produces fully forged knives and some stamped knives. The name "Zwilling" means "twin" in German, which is why you see the twin logo (double-man) on these knives. Forged knives are heavier, highly durable, and excellent for heavy-duty tasks.
Henckels is the budget tier, made in China, Thailand, India, and Spain, primarily produces stamped knives with more accessible pricing but still carrying the family name. Henckels carries the single logo (single-man) on these knives. Stamped knives are lighter, more flexible, and easier to handle.
Knife preferences come down to blade steel, shape, and intended use. If you are a serious home cook looking for a long-term investment, Zwilling is clearly superior. If you are outfitting a first apartment, a vacation home, or need basic, inexpensive utility knives, Henckels International is a reliable and highly recognizable choice
The Zwilling J.A. Henckels brand provides high-quality kitchen knives and created one of the most functional tools in your kitchen. Whatever you decide between Henckels vs. Zwilling, you will to be a cut above others.
