The link leads to a bundle featuring the GIGABYTE B650E; please take note of this and swap it for the MSI B850.

Bundles like this make the value proposition much better than retail. Outside of this the chip doesn't really make sense.

Much better than the ridiculous $300 5800X3D price. Anyone having AM4 thinking of upgrading to 5800X3D should sell it to offset the costs and go with this instead. At least that's what I'd do.

7700x3d is a lower binned 7800x3d apparently. Roughly 5-10% performance difference. Had to search for this since I didn't even know it existed before today.

I dont know if we should be happy that as of today, we can still prove that AI got it wrong. But 10 or 20 years from now, it will be much harder to prove AI got it wrong. On one hand, I wish AI would go bust but I also know that when it go bust, my 401K will go under. The feeling is so mixed.

It just came out today. And yeah 5% in 1080p gaming, closer at higher resolutions. If you're building a pc today this is a very reasonable deal, and add a 2nd stick of RAM when it goes under $100.

Terrible deal when you'll be capped at single channel. Adding another 16GB stick now would negate any savings. Today this 16GB stick will cost you $200 to $220. You may never find this exact memory module in the future, when DDR5 RAM prices may or may not lower. Save a little more and get a system with proper dual-channel.
