I have it on right now as I type this. For its size it packs quite a punch, though I must admit I never use the misting function like I thought I would. It doesn't help much when there's high to moderate humidity, and it strikes me as something that would be useful either in arid climates or on a Bench for a kid's sports team. Great fan otherwise, though.

My brother brings his around to outdoor family activities in the dry air of UT and I like the misting function here quite a bit. It really helps to cool you down here.

I have this too. bought two for $99.
I modified one to draw from a plastic juice bottle. The bottle would be half frozen and then add water on top. It feels real good on those hot days but you need to be right in front of it.
You could also put ice in 5 gallon bucket. It does wonders.

i bought smaller nozzles from amazon and now its a nice mist. stock outputs too much water.
also someone correct me if im wrong but using purified water is best so chemicals dont clog up the pump mechanism.

Sure by why the expense?
Your can easily clean the nozzles by removing them and soaking then on vinegar.

Yes the nozzles. Usually caused by hard water or the minerals in the water.

How about completely freeze the juice bottles and turn them upside down in a five gallon bucket of water?
That way you have solid chunks of reusable ice containers that drain into the fine gallon bucket, contributing to the cold water.

I've read this as they're using smaller nozzles to get a finer mist.

Separately, they were making a general comment on the pureity of the water being an issue with any nozzle.
