Too bad AM4 has no good X3D CPU for sale. 5800X3D is like $350! I thought there was a good bundle but can't find it.
You can snag the 5500x3D on AliExpress for about $145 after coupons. Only 6 core / 12 thread, but still a great gaming CPU and best of all it supports PCIe Gen4 which the "regular" 5500 does not since it's a gimped SKU.
On the topic of the board itself, I'm a big fan. Picked one up last week for a cheap flip build and very impressed with the PCB quality, UEFI layout, port selection (multiple ARGB, PWM fan, and USB headers), etc.
Ah I wasn't sure if they are "real". Good to know, just need some basic gaming CPU at times and I have some AM4 ram to use so that will save some money also.
thanks!

I'm not super familiar with these motherboards. Been looking at the "MSI B550M PRO-VDH" one on Amazon for $79.99 and it seems like the better board for not much more money. Thoughts?

Its a much better board, I'm still rocking one from 2021 with a 5600x.
