The Traeger Pro 34 is a pellet smoker that stands out for easy set it and walk away cooking, with strong results on brisket, ribs, jerky, smoked burgers, and meatloaf. The current $379.99 price is described as a strong deal, especially since this model has often sat closer to $500. It has 884 square inches of cooking space, which feels tight for larger cooks, and the build is described as basic with thinner metal than older Traeger units. The main concerns are thermometer accuracy and reports of temperature swings from the control panel, so it suits cooks who want pellet convenience more than premium controls.

I have this smoker, it's awesome. Don't listen to the elitists about pellet smokers, if you don't have one -get one. Makes great jerky, smoked burgers, smoked meatloaf, and ribs.
I don't have this one but I do have a pellet smoker. I love being able to just set the temp and walk away and just check the pellets every so often. My briskets are top notch now.

I'm a smoker noob what would you consider pro features
Just get a Bluetooth or WiFi thermometer and a smoke tube and you've covered most of the extra options. Some that are more expensive have built in thermometers and an extra smoke setting.

Wow, this is the sale price that was being pushed for the smaller Pro 22 during Fathers day & the 4th, the Pro34 was closer to $500. Pricing error? But BB is also selling at this price, so perhaps theyre moving on to a different model and discontinuing this one? Either way supremely tempted...
