I was debating on this but got the 85" TCL QM9K yesterday. Watched various stuff on it like Avengers Infinity war beginning in Dolby Vision. I am baffled how clear and bright it is. Everyone keeps saying OLED, OLED, OLED but I have to say TCL might have a winner here especially at sub 2k pricing.

To be fair this does use the tandem panel, includes a soundbar and Uber eats credit.

Unfortunately with the chip shortage, prices likely to continue to rise.

I'm glad I picked the G6 deal a few weeks back.

Even more glad I picked up the G5 deal back in early October which was the best deal they ever had on the partner store for a 77" G Series (~$500-$600 less than the recent G6 deal)

The G6 deal was still great though. Glad you (and several others) were able to take advantage

Good price, but never buying LG OLED panels again. A lot of C9 and CX panels are getting hundreds of dead pixels prematurely, and now there is accusations of straight-up spyware on LG's new TVs.

My personal ones never see the light of the internet unless I really really want to update them. Now the business computers I see with LG installer App pushing McAfee really pisses me off.

That dead pixel issue is very real on B and C series, not so much on the G Series though. Or at least I haven't seen it happen to any G Series owners yet.

Also, basically every TV manufacturer tries to sell your data when your TV is connected to the internet. I never connect my TV to the internet and use devices like Apple TV & gaming consoles instead of the TVs native apps.

LG puts the 2 most recent firmware updates for all of their TVs on their website too, so you can still update your TVs firmware with a USB drive without ever connecting it to the internet.
