The 5.0ah was an upgrade to the original 4.0ah 10 cell (like the 2.0ah vs. 1.5ah for the 5 cell), but the newest "Advanced" ones are 6ah & 3ah. So they're probably marking these down as they roll those out.

This is likely an online ordered deal only, meaning a Lowe's store won't match this deal in store.

Anyone finding different, please report (have a $50 off V20 item coupon that I'd love to sweeten this deal with!)

hey Taco - thanks for posting. Seems like these are the same tools as the other BOGO deal (4ah/2ah battery one) expect with 5ah battery and a little cheaper - is that correct?

I was lucky enough to have several in my area last month, and aside from my wife and father-in-law trading some in along side of me, I bought some of the 2ah/4ah combos (with the free tool) and traded in a few of those 2ah, at the following event, too. It is one per customer (per day, apparently) and first-come, first-served. On the last day, I missed out by 30 minutes, as he had run out. He said he was allotted 20. The vendor knew me by then. 😁 I was a bit surprised the events weren't marketed better, since one of the stores was unaware they were having it and much of the time I arrived within the last hour of the 4 hour event. By my calculations and per the Lowe's website, I spent about $400 and gained about $1450 in tools, batteries and chargers. Btw, I have some spare chargers for sale, lol.

Thanks for the info... I had not even searched SD yet for this event (I'm sure someone posted about it).

I know I have an older battery or two down in the garage that I'm going to hunt down later today and take to Lowes this upcoming week for one of these events. I'm just hoping to get the $50 coupon for this deal (hoping it's still around). The bonus battery they're giving away would be nice.

I was able to snag a Craftsman battery operated weedwacker earlier this year on clearance. It works fine but on two occasions, the battery it came with, ran out just before finishing what I had to use it for. It was not a big deal and just reminded me to weedwack the stuff I knew I wanted first and hope to finish it all! An extra battery would come in handy.

For this deal, I'd buy the battery, w/the $50 coupon...and get the free blower...just to have as a backup.

Ordered this deal yesterday morning (w/ pole saw), and nothing but "in process" still from the store. Expect a cancellation soon. Lowe's sucks!

what was your ordering experience like online? Did you have any problems with the coupon code not applying? Or did everything seem to go just fine during checkout and the coupon code (and thus the $50 off)?

Couldn't use the coupon (wasn't accepted). Did the deal straight up for $89.
