I've been watching this for months and this is the first price drop I've seen, and its a substantial price drop so I'm buying one. I have gone through 5 SUPERLIGHTs now, all failing in slightly less than a year and all suffering from the same double-click issue as well as the scroll wheel issue that happens to seemingly EVERY Logitech gaming mouse ever made. Same happened to my previous 3 903's. This uses totally different mouse1&2 switches so it won't have the double-click issue...I'll see if the mouse wheel is any different within a few months lol!

have this issue with my superlight and also g305. Question is that there is plenty of competitor options out there so why give logitech ore money with so many failures?

if you went through 5 superlights, it sounds like a user issue
They're doing a refresh on this mouse after only 5 months because of all the QC issues it had. They also never fixed the side button and scroll wheel issues. This is a good deal for a mouse with all of the top of the line tech if you can live with it not being perfect

do you happen to know which switches? thinking about doing a solder replacement on some old mice with doubleclick issues

My friends use some of the other popular brands and they have all had similar issues over time. I use my mouse about 3x-4x more than the average user so I experience longevity issues a lot faster than they do, but most of them have had similar issues between 1-4yrs of use. The problem, from what I've heard from designers & technicians who are familiar with how mouse switches work internally, is that pretty much all gaming mouse companies use similar mechanical switches which will all suffer from the same problem eventually as they wear out. This makes sense from my experience and my friend's experience with at least 4 other popular brands over the years having the same double-click issue across varoius brands and models as I've seen with high end Logitech mouses. I hate giving any company my mooney when they make unreliable products, and I'd definitely switch brands if there was a mouse that had a proven track record of never having the double-click issue or scroll wheel issue. I stick with Logitech because I really like the feel and weight of the Superlight more than any other mouse that I've tried so far.
