Except for the label, it looks exactly like my Takagi tankless. Same 15-year heat exchanger guarantee, 5-year parts guarantee as Takagi.

Are these more efficient than a tank water heater? I read they need to be cleaned on a yearly basis

Yes this one says its 94% efficient (meaning 94 percent of the energy used is to heat water and only 6% is lost elsewhere). You're also only heating water on demand instead of keeping it hot at all times. Its recommended to flush them yearly but some of the newer models out now have some kind of scale inhibitor so its not required anymore but still recommended to extend life.
