I have Dewalt 12v but never purchased this because of the small movement of the recip blade which men's slower cutting. The Milwaukee brushed M12 isn't much better but the M12 Fuel is excellent!
I agree. The DeWalt 12V line has never been as compelling as Milwaukee 12V, and I speak as someone who actually bought into it. Their 20V Atomic tools are not much larger but benefit from being 20V and not making you use a whole different battery system.
This. If you are planning on using a 12v platform and have no other 12v dewalt tools/batteries, better to go with the milwaukee m12 series.
I have many "duplicate" tools of the M18/M12 and find myself grabbing the M12 stuff more often than not due to the size/weight of them. For the heavier tasks, the M18s are in the same cabinet.
It's all about the battery platform and the tools available for each. The 20v and 60v dewalt stuff is great, but I personally prefer the milwaukee line. Especially if you need a battery operated specialty tool.
