This is one of those monitors that needs an extended protection plan, which I don't think you can get from Samsung if you buy from Woot. There's a couple new models of dual UHD being released by other companies, not sure how they'll compare to the G9

I'm not sure where you getting this information. While any purchase of this size a extended warranty is a good idea. With that said this monitor has proven itself to be a workhorse and many including myself consider it to be the best work and gaming monitor released. Their is only one other monitor ever released of this size and that was essitional this monitor released under the Acer brand but would only do 120hrz, and it added two speakers .

This monitor offers a fantastic picture, incredible multitasking space, it's amazing with text. I've owned this monitor for almost 2 years now and I absolutely love it. This is a incredible price and I highly recommend it. Also I'm not a salesman or affiliated with woot or Samsung. Just a dude who loves sim racing and works from home.

A dislike with no rebuttal is crazy hahaha. This is indeed better than the previous EPP price (I bought 2 at the time)

The TCL 57R94 is already available in Europe (basically the same as the samsung but only 120Hz) and TCL CSOT (who make the G9 panel) are shopping around these panels to Chinese manufacturers now, like Titan Army (https://videocardz.com/newz/titan...resolution).

As for the warranty, the last time I did a deep dive into the G9 there were abundant reliability issues (and samsung is known for poor QA in general now). So buying an extended warranty is especially prudent here, not just because it's a large purchase.

You can be a fan of the monitor without downplaying information

There are a handful of SD'ers that ONLY downvote. Comments. Deals. Doesn't matter.
