What makes this a deal? There are a plethora of clones of this bike out there for $750 and under...what makes this worth 2.5 times that?

You're probably paying more for the peace of mind of having a company that will supposedly stand behind it's product and will provide support. Although I've seen some negative posts in that regard with ride1up.

But with the cheap clones, you pretty much have to expect that the item will be junk/trash if there are any issues with it, unless you know you're buying a reputable clone or from a reputable seller or are confident that you can fix any issues yourself. Some people are willing to take that risk for the cost savings.

With that being said, I've been on the fence on electric bikes and this style of bike. But I think if I do buy this style of bike it would be the Juiced Scrambler which is a bit cheaper than this deal:
https://juicedbikes.com/products/scrambler

Currently $1899 for the full suspension model.

The Juiced brand is owned by Lectric bikes now. They say the bikes are now designed to be stay within legal limits and I don't know what that means about their reliability and support. But the initial reviews of the bike looks decent.

Yea I see what you are saying. However, the stability and speed capabilities on this bike are seen to be more advanced and superior to the Juiced Scrambler.

You're also getting slightly higher quality components. I don't think you can show me clone under 1k with 4 piston hydraulic brakes. I suspect most clones would also be 48v.
Bafang motor, better shocks, and mag wheels may also provide some peace of mind.
