Seems like a bad idea to be taking huge doses of Vit D unless you medically need it (hypercalcemia)
Yeah. Seems more like once a week dose unless someone is being treated for deficiency.

The vitamin K prevents this, however 5,000iu is a low dose.

I grew up thinking this too. I see a lot of doctors and for the last 10 years, I've heard so much I need to take vitamin d. Like I'm not even deficient, just on the low side of normal.

Maybe a dumb question, but if you subscribe, does it lock in that price?

If you are taking multivitamin, you don't need to take this, correct?

This is definitely a pricing error. ALSO, keep in mind vitamins, even unopened, have an expiry date. Happy shopping!

Edit: to all the replies, this is 1000 IU more than the recommended upper limit of 4000 IU (and that 4000 IU is for ALL sources of daily vitamin D, not a single dose). Actual recommended amount for adults is 600 IU. Oral vit D will also accumulate in your fat stores, you don't have a natural shutoff for the supplement like your body does for skin/uv vit D production. Vit K doesn't change this guideline. Ideally you'd get a blood test to know the appropriate dose for your situation. Do what you want with your body but if you have opposing views, back them up.
See https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets...-Consumer/
I take 50k IU in winter once a week. I do blood work every 6-9 months. Always in range.
