got mine the other day... i got a battery bank and velcro'd it on to go with it to make it portable. The unit was actually $73. The screen is only 720p but its not too pixilated from a distance, if you are focusing on the rd and not the screen, its not enough to bother. Your eyes are 3ft from it, not 1 ft like a phone - Happy here

Curious what the point of portability would be?

Got something similar from another no-name brand. Similar price. But my experience is when using AA, the BT keeps dropping and reconnecting every 10-20 mins. Sometimes even shorter! Curious if this unit suffers the same issue. It's not my phone since it connects to my other car's built in AA system just fine.

Which brand? I bought a similar one by LAMTTO and found some info buried in the Amazon reviews for how to update the firmware to fix BT connectivity issues and it's been working great.

absolutely wrong, the resolution is fine, it's 186 ppi. did you see 720p and immediately just post?

it's a very wide aspect ratio 1920x720. 186 ppi is perfectly good.

Upgraded from an 8" screen and installed this last night. The picture quality is a huge step up from my old unit, with no resolution issues even on streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix.
Quick tips:
  1. On-board streaming apps require a phone hotspot/Wi-Fi connection to function, even with Android Auto connected.
  2. Connecting to Wi-Fi auto-updates the firmware (apps must be updated manually).
  3. Audio routes from Phone -> Display Unit -> Car Bluetooth, rather than pairing the phone directly to the car.
Video apps are probably great for occasional parked viewing in my case. If Bluetooth stays solid, I'll definitely buy another for my second car!

The video apps are great for people who take ferries with any regularity.

You're going to sit there and wholeheartedly defend 720p on an 11" screen? A discerning eye will notice, but you may not. Enjoy your fuzzy content. I am sticking with my initial comment.
1920x720 isn't 720p, it's 1080p UW. it's a widescreen with the top and bottom cut off. get educated before posting stupidity.

It's my wife's car (the family suv) she is anti change... but if i am driving, it fits cleanly over the existing infotainment system. you could move it to a different car or use it as a dedicated incar Netflix device- it's easy to get access to the full Google play store... making it for me a funny shaped $73 Android tablet

Parking in a rough neighborhood would lead to your window smashed in for this unit. Nice to take it out and put underseat or in the trunk in those cases

Can you link the page? I turned off Bluetooth audio streaming from my phone and it seems to do the trick. It might have been competing with wifi signal to the head unit
