You might take a look at lower priced models and see if you're able to step down. I think the travel version might be less powerful.
Maybe someone can educate us what we're missing out on if not using any of the features.
Of note: only reason I've tried all of them is because they only last a couple of years so consider it disposable. I used to think I broke them after dropping by accident, but eventually noticed after taking good care that they still get weak and loud after time has passed.
Hence I'm once again shopping for a replacement. I see this new one has the USB plug charger.
I'm like you and I think this is the sweet spot (assuming sale price ~$35 each). I've tried the top of the line but never used any of the features and on this one only use the high setting.
You might take a look at lower priced models and see if you're able to step down. I think the travel version might be less powerful.

We bought 2 in 2020 and both stopped charging last month when only one was of them was used 2x daily! Also, these require a USB-C adapter now...
