These overpriced shoes suck. I got the vapormax for work since I spend 12hrs on my feet. And they are horrible. Make a lot of nice when walking. They don't call them "ankle killers" for nothing. They have no stability, very easy to roll your ankle. Don't even think about playing sports in these.

Air will never be as comfortable as foam for standing on your feed all day. If you are still looking for shoes for this purpose I would check out the Nike Vomero Plus. My first test of them was Disney World and they passed with flying colors. The only caveat is that these are also ankle killers but that's going to be a problem for any shoe that has enough foam to support being on your feet on hard surfaces for 12 hours a day.

if only the air cushions would last more than 3-6 months. when that cushion flattens/leaks, these turn into bricks, at least the last air max i had did.

Adidas EVO probably the most comfortable running shoe/walking I have ever owned. First time i tried it for my long run, I had to cop another one just for lifestyle.

I bought an impact resistant running shoe for the look to not run in them. It's not great when I was not running in them. It's also not good for jousting, cave diving, cheese rolling, or chess boxing. It's totally the shoe's fault because who else would it be?

Plenty of shoes aren't ankle killers including the Vomeros. If you are having that issue you likely are either flat footed or worse overpronate (looks like you have an arch, but when you put weight on your foot it collapses which causes the ankle to wobble and that is trivial to spring sideways into a bruise/sprain).

People with a natural gait/normal arches very VERY rarely roll/hurt their ankle. They can have impact issues where you get almost an arthritis thing but actually rolling them is either really bad shoes, OR if it happens to you a lot, it's flat/overpronation without the right shoes for them. If you are either of those you need stability shoes like the GT series from ASICS, The Guides from Saucony, Brooks GTS lines (if minor) etc.

I used to roll my ankle all the time before I got into stability shoes for flat feet. Like as a teen that was a semi weekly/monthly thing. Now despite weighing more and putting way more miles on them, it literally never happens anymore.

Vomero Plus at $135 is a much better product. They also offer Wide. I prefer the Plus for standing, Premium for moving.
